With experience on the client and agency sides, for-profit and non-, and in Dallas and Austin, Carrie brings a well-rounded perspective to brands lucky to have her in their pocket.
Carrie got her first glimpse of PR when she was 7 years old and her family lemonade stand was featured on the local news for raising $7.62 for charity. She has been securing media stories ever since.
Carrie dives deep into her client’s business to fully understand the needs of the brand, the target audience, and the best way to strategically align the brand’s business objectives with its media relations objectives. Under her direction, Carrie’s clients have landed feature stories in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Mashable, The New York Times as well as local business journals and daily newspapers.
Since 2013, Carrie has worked with Communities Foundation of Texas on its annual event North Texas Giving Day that has generated $195 million in donations since its inception, breaking five national one-day giving day records. The body of work has also won a 2013 PR News Award and a Dallas / Fort Worth American Marketing Association Marketer of the Year Award in the Public Relations category.
She currently works with Archer’s Challenge, Foster Angels of Central Texas, Sustainable Food Center, Hooked on Phonics, Encore Park, Nomacorc, Communities Foundation of Texas, and Texas EggFest.
Carrie earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Corporate Communications from The University of Texas at Austin. She is an active volunteer with Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Communities in Schools and Junior League of Austin. She serves on the Advisory Board for Broadway National Bank and the Board of Directors for the Sustainable Food Center. When she isn’t working, you will find Carrie outside listening to live music or running around Lady Bird Lake.
