Marcia Weiss Levy  

Marcia grew up on the Olympic Peninsula in the State of Washington and has been a Texan by choice for over 40 years. She completed her Graduate and Post Graduate training at the University of Washington, Seattle in Psychaiatric Social Work and Clinical Psychology. 


Professionally, Marcia’s career path included her work in hospital settings as a member of the Psychiatric team of a large emergency room and on medical floors. As a young mother, Marcia began her well-rounded communal work where she has had an enduring social impact on multiple communities. After moving to Austin Marcia reimagined her professional impact with successful stints as the Director of Business Development and Marketing for two international startup companies. 


Marcia’s professional expertise includes: business development and marketing with a particular eye towards rainmaking, major gift philanthropy, capital campaign strategic planning and  implementation, organizational development, and community engagement.


Hand in hand with her devotion to her family, Marcia has been an ardent community activist. She has spearheaded countless capital campaigns for private day schools, medical institutions, and the arts community. Marcia’s leadership roles have been on the local and national level as Board Chair and National Board member of numerous non-profit organizations. From the First Tee to the Anti-Defamation League to Dell Children’s Hospital to GENAustin and more, Marcia has been an active Board member and fundraiser.  In addition, Marcia has spear-headed multi-year campaigns that have provided over $10 million in funding for Scripts Research Institute, Jupiter, FL.


In 2010, Marcia and a close friend envisioned for Central Texas the first Comprehensive Multi-Disciplinary Breast cancer center. Together they created and led the initiative raising over $8 million to fund the FF&E for what is now the Seton Breast Care Center and helped to develop the programs and services that are provided.
